Support Groups & Programs

Men In Touch

A Personal growth program for gay/bisexual men that takes place in a weekend retreat format. Individuals can share their life experiences in a supportive and confidential setting. It allows participants the opportunity to express and explore their feelings about themselves while working to raise their self esteem. Call our Risk Reduction Specialist for further information.

Keeping In Touch

An offshoot of Men in Touch, this is a group for gay/bisexual men, which meets twice a month. It is a great place to meet new people, and learn the importance of fellowship to gay/bisexual men.

Permanent Housing Assistance

The application process can take up to four weeks. In the event of a waiting list, applicants will be ranked on the basis of need. Individuals with the greatest need are ranked with the highest priority. Each applicant will be notified of final decisions. For more information, call us at 330.375.2000

Our Facilities

Community AIDS Network provides housing assistance through placement in:

  • Micah House:  Transitional housing in a five-bedroom furnished home
  • Harmony Place:  A 15-unit apartment complex with one, two, and three bedroom units, designed for independent living
  • Shelter Plus Care Program: Section 8 certificates provided for low-income housing

Qualifications for Housing Assistance

  • Low Income
  • HIV positive
  • Able to live independently

Must provide the following to apply

  • State ID card
  • Social Security card
  • Social Security benefit award letter (and/or most recent pay stub
  • Name & addresses of your doctors/health professionals, and caseworker(s)
